The sixth and all-important final event of the 2010 KZNLSA Longboard Series, the Seconds Longboard Classic, takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of October at either Dairy Beach or Bay of Plenty. With the majority of age group series titles not yet decided this event is set for some major showdowns amongst a number of key surfers....

The biggest series battle will take place in the premier Open division where Scott Levefre, Brad Trickett and Brad Weare will be fighting it out for the prestigious Open title and bragging rights. Levefre, who still competes in the Junior division, has held onto a very slim lead in the Open division with Trickett and Weare chomping on his heels going into the final event. Basically it boils down to whoever can make the final and finish ahead of the other two, will then be crowned the 2010 KZNLSA Open Champion. The action is sure to be intense as Weare, the defending champion, tries to make it two in a row, while Levefre and Trickett aim for their first Open series title.

Levefre will be able to rest a bit easier in the Junior division having already clinched the Series title earleir in the year, but he'll no doubt still want to retain his winning streak against the likes of Damien Stander, Jago England, Matt Law and others who'll be surfing it out for a top three finish. There's also plenty of action in the other age groups as the series title race comes to a thrilling conclusion in this final event. SALT Surf Mag will bring you all the action, results and highlights and series champions after the event so be sure to log in and find out who came out on top.

The event's prize giving will be held on Sunday afternoon at Durban Surf Lifesaving Club, which will also feature a raffle with surfboards, wetsuits, apparel, bikes and loads of other prizes up for grabs, to help assist Brad Weare on his travels to compete at the ISA World Games in Peru and the ASP World Longboard Champs in Hawaii in October. Tickets are R50 and can be purchased at the event or at the prizegiving before the raffle takes place.
